Roundtable on Recycling & Waste Disposal in DC

TAKE ACTION: On September 28th, Testify or Submit Testimony on Waste Management & Recycling Issues in the District.
On September 28, 2012, Councilmember Mary M. Cheh, Chairperson of the Committee on the Environment, Public Works, and Transportation, will convene a public oversight roundtable on waste and recycling issues in the District of Columbia. This public oversight roundtable will be held in Room 120 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Ave, NW at 11:00 AM on September 28, 2012.
The Committee will examine the state of waste management and recycling in the District and how the District’s practices can be more efficient. Specific topics to be considered will include policies and practices for composting, commercial recycling, construction & demolition waste, and commercial waste hauling. The Committee will also consider other issues related to waste reduction, recycling best practices, and related topics.
The DC Environmental Network, Global Green USA and others are planning on participating in this roundtable.
